After finding out that my two year old son loves crafting with pom poms, I wanted to find more fun pom pom crafts to try. I found so many that range from animals to flowers to Christmas. Some are useful, some are cute, some even use homemade pom poms. Keep reading to find the perfect pom pom craft to try with your family.

Every kid loves animals. Below are some fun animal crafts that use pom poms.

1. Turtle Made From Pom Poms

How adorable is that turtle? And I love how Home Time Activities breaks it down into very easy to follow directions. I am definitely need to try this one with my kids and experiment with making some other animals too.

2. Sheep Valentine’s Day Card

Here is another take on a cute pom pom sheep from Tikkido. It uses a homemade pom pom, but you could just as easily use a big store bought white pom pom as the base.

While we are on a roll with cute pom pom critters, check out these pom pom chicks from Fireflies and Mud Pies. Once again they use homemade pom poms that can be replaced with a store bought ones if you want to make it simplier.

You can make this simple pom pom craft with any coloring page. My 2 year old son chose to do it with a picture of a puppy. It ended up being one of his favorite crafts.

I can see my 4 year old daughter wanting to make this fun flower garland to decorate her room with. I love how Family Focus Blog uses a cookie cutter to make these foam and pom pom flowers.

Both of these similar yet different ideas on making flower bookmarks from pom poms look like lots of fun. I like Two Kids and a Coupon’s more realistic and cute looking flowers. But, I can see my kids enjoying making ones that look like Homeschool and Happiness’ simpler version.

Both Love My Simple Home and Pillar Box Blue show how to make realistic looking pom pom flowers. Instead of using pom poms, they make their own. They both have their own unique look, but I really like both of them.

This simple little Christmas tree craft from Life Over C’s looks perfect for getting little kids in the Christmas spirit. I love the idea of using mini pom poms as ornaments.

I love the variety in all three of these simple Christmas ornament ideas. Sum of Their Stories has you gluing pom poms on the outside of a bauble. Life Over C’s puts their pom poms inside the ornament instead. And Fox Farm Home ditches the ornament and glues pom poms on a pinecone instead.

I think these cute pom pom creatures from Creatively Beth look more like monsters than Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the Cat in the Hat. Either way, these DIY pom pom critters are ridiculously cute.
