My daughter has recently had a minor obsession with trains. It started when I told her she was going to go on a park train with her Grammy. Since then, she has got a few books about Thomas the Train and has checked out a few other train books at the library. I decided to use this obsession to my advantage and make her a train sticker chart. I wanted a chart that took a few more stickers to complete than my previous space-themed one. Keep reading for your own free printable sticker chart train.
How to Make a Sticker Chart Train
Supplies:
- Free sticker chart train printables (here, here, and here)
- Stickers
- Sticky tack
- Prizes
- Prize box (read about painting one with your toddler here)
Creating:
These sticker charts are super easy to make since you can get the free printables here, here, and here. The first printable is the engine and two train cars. The other two printables are each three different colored train cars.
The first step is to print all of the train cars. If your printer has issues like mine and streaks colors badly, you can color them in with a marker. Then just cut them out and stick them on your wall with sticky tack. I put mine up one at a time and when my daughter finished a train car she got to pick which color car she wanted next.
Then you can decide how many stickers you want to require per train car. I had my daughter put stickers on both the windows and wheels. Lastly, decide how you want to give prizes. Each time my toddler finished a train car, she got to pick out a new book.
As much as she has loved her previous space and zoo themed sticker charts, I think the variety helped keep my daughter’s motivation up. I also think that changing sticker chart themes can help if you are planning on changing what behavior gets stickers. If pottying used to get rocket ship stickers that doesn’t mean it gets train stickers or something along those lines. I hope your little train engineer loves these sticker charts too. Let me know in the comments what your kid’s current obsessions are.
Cute sticker chart! Love it!!
Thanks so much!
Love this idea! My son is currently obsessed with dinosaurs and my daughters with mermaids and anything glitter. Sticker charts work great with my kids. I will have to try the train sticker chart. I like the idea of a prize when each train car is full. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, let me know what you think!
Love the idea! Really nice!

This train sticker chart is a great idea…so cute! I love how a “treat” is earned when each car fills up! Fun way of rewarding good behavior!
Thanks, my daughter loved the treats along the way so much that she started giving me pretend “prizes”.
This looks great! My 3 boys absolutely love crafts. We will be trying this next 😊
Thanks! Let me know what your boys think!
