This is a fun one. If you aren’t familiar with our alphabet crafts, I have been doing animal alphabet crafts with my 4 year old daughter. To make them more unique and fun we have been using craft supplies that also start with that same letter. The added difficulty has made it slow going at times and now my 2 year old son is old enough to also join in for most of them. For T they both made a T is for tiger craft with tie dyed tissue paper and tempera paint. This is definitely not something we would have made if it wasn’t for this alphabet series. But, it turned out really cute and fun.

How to Make a T is for Tiger Craft Using Craft Supplies Beginning With T
Materials:
- White tissue paper
- Markers
- Plastic tablecloth (optional)
- Dropper
- Kid scissors
- Glue stick
- Paper
- Tempera paint
Tie Dyeing the Tissue Paper:
First, you need orange and black tie dyed tissue paper. Maybe you can buy it somewhere, but it is super easy to make with just markers and water. Check out these detailed instructions on how to make it. Use only orange and black markers to get it to look similar to a tiger print. You can do this step yourself or get the kids involved. Mine weren’t patient enough to color an entire piece of tissue paper with just two colors. So, they did some and I did some.

Making the T Shaped Tiger:
Now that you have your materials, it is time to get your tiger put together. Draw a large T, tiger ears, and a tiger tail on your tissue paper. If you have older kids they could do it instead.

Then, let your kids cut out their tiger parts with kid scissors. My daughter is great at cutting and did this herself. My son hasn’t learned this skill yet and I cut his out.
Next, let your kids use a glue stick to glue their cut out T shape to a piece of paper. Then, have them glue the tail and ears on. My daughter wants things to go in the right spots, but my son just glued his pieces all over. Now you have a T shaped tiger.

Painting the T is for Tiger Craft:
Lastly, let your kids use tempera paint (another T) to paint features on their T is for tiger craft. My daughter painted on eyes, a nose, and a mouth. My son painted wherever he wanted.

That’s it. Now you have a fun, cute, and educational tiger picture.

Conclusion of Our T is for Tiger Craft
This one took us a while. We made the tie dye tissue paper and then it sat on my desk for weeks. But, I am so glad that I finally got motivated to finish it. Both kids loved making their tigers and they are so cute. The huge eyes on my daughter’s tiger crack me up. So, I would not only recommend making this craft, I would recommend finishing any half finished crafts you have laying around. Sometimes they are the most fun.
