It looks just like a unicorn, right? Ok, maybe this alphabet craft didn’t turn out the best. But, my four year old had a lot of fun making it and it tasted good.
We have been making animal alphabet crafts that use supplies that start with the same letter. U was a really hard one to come up with a supply for. Udon noodles was the best idea I could come up with. Read on to find out how to make your own yummy U is for unicorn craft.

How to Make a U is for Unicorn Craft With Udon Noodles
Supplies:
- Udon noodles
- Sauce ingredients (optional)
Making the U Shaped Unicorn:
This craft is so simple. Place your udon noodles in a bowl and let your child take them and make them into a U shape on each plate.

Then, have them add noodles to form a horn, a mane, and a tail. Maybe making one large unicorn would work better than our three small ones. I helped shape the ones on the bigger plates and my daughter did the one on her plate by herself.

Making it Into a Meal:
Technically you can be done with the craft at this point. You have a U shaped unicorn made from udon noodles. But, there is no reason to waste your art. Find a recipe for a sauce like this Japanese Curry recipe to pour on top. Then, to cook the noodles without having to stir your unicorn design, microwave it for a couple minute.

Now you can eat your child’s delicious creation. And if you have a lot of imagination it may even look like a U shaped unicorn.
Conclusion of Our U is for Unicorn Craft
This was definitely a ridiculous alphabet craft. It looks only vaguely like a unicorn even before pouring sauce on it. But, it was fun and we did manage to make it with something starting with a U. Let me know in the comments if you have a better U material idea than udon noodles.
