My daughter loves Paw Patrol, so she wanted to have her 4th birthday party themed around it. As part of that party, we had a Paw Patrol inspired mission for the kids to find a Skye shaped pinata. This mission was made up of 6 mini games based around each of the 6 original pups. My daughter’s favorite pup is Skye, so she loved this Skye Paw Patrol party game. It was the simplest of the 6, but it also was the most played.

How to Make a Skye Paw Patrol Party Game
Materials:
- Masking tape
- Play tunnel (optional)
- Floor mat (optional)
- Balloons
- Laminator (optional)
Making the Obstacle Course:
I initially wanted to make this Skye Paw Patrol game outside, but there was too much snow on the ground. So, instead we cleaned out our garage enough to do it in there. Since the ground was hard, I didn’t want the kids to do any big obstacles that they might fall over. If you do yours outside, check out these super fun obstacle course ideas from Hands On As We grow.
Instead, I placed masking tape on the ground for them to follow. I tried to do different patterns and included several jumps. In the middle I placed a play tunnel that we already had. I didn’t want the kids to have to crawl on their knees on the hard ground, so I taped it to some interlocking floor mats.
Adding Skye:
I now had an obstacle course, but it wasn’t Skye themed. The first thing I did to change this was to add a sign. To make the base of it, I tied three pink balloons together. Then, I taped a laminated picture of Skye and a laminated set of directions to them. Here is a free download of my directions. It includes the rules and titles for all of our other Paw Patrol themed games as well. I placed this sign near the beginning of the course.
The next thing I did was add themed prizes to the end of the course. During our Paw Patrol themed mission I placed map pieces at the end. Then, when I opened the games up for free play, I placed Skye pup badge necklaces there instead.
Conclusion of Our Skye Paw Patrol Party Game
This was a very simple game to put together. I was pretty disappointed that we couldn’t do it outside, but it still ended up being the most played game. One girl just wanted to “fly” the obstacle course over and over again. It was a good reminder that simple is best for kids that age. I do still wish we could have set up more obstacles though. What kind of obstacles are you going to use for your Skye Paw Patrol obstacle course?
